"Intercessory evangelism" allows us to work in the harvest using a combination of intercessory prayer and evangelism. When we go to a public place we are able to "stand in the gap" for the people there and present to them the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven. In Ezekiel 22:30 we read that the LORD sought for a man who would make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Him for the land so that He would not destroy it. We believe that Jesus has called us to this place of intercession in our city and in the Pacific Northwest as we go out and preach the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. In each gospel book and in the book of Acts we find what we often call the "great commission" – we are to go into the world and preach the good news of the Kingdom to every creature. We also find specific instructions from Jesus in the Scriptures in places such as Matthew chapter 10. He tells us to also do such things as heal the sick and cast out demons. Freely we have received, so we are to give freely. What we have received, we freely give away. This is all because we have met Him, heard His voice within our hearts, received the power of the Holy Spirit, and are now called by His name.
