Dearly Beloved of Our Lord:

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord, Savior, and King – Jesus!  Even though cold weather and illness has kept us from being on the streets of downtown Portland , some of those from the streets have come to us.  Mitzi pushes her shopping cart around our neighborhood and now comes and rings our doorbell asking for bottles, cans, money, etc., and even offers to work.  We gave her almost a hundred soda pop cans, which were left over from the holidays.  Karen prayed with her and we gave her a book of Proverbs.  We shared the importance of wisdom in our lives and looking forward to living forever in the New Heaven and Earth.  Please pray for her.

Ron’s Testimony … As many of you know I have been dealing with a hearing loss after suffering from ear infections in mid-November.  I have received much prayer, personal advice, and medical attention during this time.  My ears have been tested for hearing acuity on two occasions.  I even had a tube inserted in my right ear which has been almost deaf for over fifty years.  There is some good news to report.  Some hearing has been returning to my right ear but the bones are not yet functioning correctly.  The left ear is still not fully opened and over time it should continue to improve.  But the hearing tests have also given me some bad news.  There has been some nerve damage in both ears, which has resulted in some overall hearing loss at this point.  But the battle is not over.  We continue in prayer and I have been given some things to do that may help.  So I ask for your prayers for healing and for recovery of the nerves which have suffered damage.

Portland State University

Please join us in prayer for this campus.  It is the largest state university in Oregon and it is in downtown Portland .  You may remember that Ron’s ears became infected within two days after he preached there in November, 2006.  PSU has been in our prayers and on our hearts throughout this time of recovery.  We have had ministry there for over thirty-five years.  Our presence there has taken many different expressions over the years.  Now we believe it is going through a transition and will soon become more effective with a whole new expression.  We have been listening to the Holy Spirit for instructions and Ron has been prayer-walking the campus.  We need intercessors to pray for us because the battle is intense.  Will you please join with us in prayer for this campus and our future there?  We want to “press the battle to the gates” so that many of our lost and missing brothers and sisters may be liberated from the enemy’s captivity.

 Thank You

We greatly appreciate your prayers, friendship, encouragement, and wonderfully generous support, all of which has greatly strengthened us in so many ways. You may bless us financially by means of personal gifts to Ron or Karen Rohman, or you may support us through church @ 24/7 – a tax-deductible ministry for which receipts are sent monthly.  We send you our love and our prayers with this short letter.  Thank you for your faithfulness and kindness in walking with us.
